Sad but true, counterfeit raw materials have found their way into dietary supplements. An independent testing agency found products such as CoQ10, alpha lipoic acid, B-vitamins and others, which did not contain the active ingredient!

You can be confident that the active ingredient listed on a CNCA product label is the exact ingredient in the product. Plus, we subject all raw materials to hundreds of independent tests.

You may be shocked to learn that the vast majority of dietary ingredients are diluted. In fact, government regulations actually allow manufacturers to put 20% less of the ingredients than their label claims. (US Code of Federal Regulations 21CFR101.36(f), 101.9(g) (revised April 2003). In many cases, much lower potency exists.

To make matters worse, other factors can further diminish product potency (by +50% in some cases). Inferior manufacturing practices, impurities or excess moisture during production, improper storage conditions and improper packaging can contribute to this loss of potency.

Unlike other companies, we make certain that the potency of all active raw materials used in CNCA supplements are properly tested. If the ingredient potency is low, we increase the amount of that ingredient in the product in order to provide the potency claimed on the label. Some ingredients (for example, B vitamins) tend to lose potency over time; to compensate for that expected loss of potency, we deliberately (and safely) increase the amount put into each capsule to assure the product potency throughout the shelf life of the product.
