MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) is a naturally occurring sulfur compound found within our bodies. Widely found in nature (with the highest concentration found in mother’s milk), our MSM has been clinically shown to improve joint mobility and to promote a healthy immune response to common allergens. Most recently, research suggests MSM may help maintain healthy homocysteine levels, a marker of heart health.
MSM is manufactured using a chemical synthesis process of reacting dimethyl sulfoxide and hydrogen peroxide. After reaction, a purification process is required to remove any impurities from the MSM.
The two most accepted purification processes used are distillation and crystallization. Distillation is the preferred method for producing MSM because heat is used to separate compounds by their unique boiling points, resulting in a highly pure product. CNCA’s MSM is purified through the preferred distillation process. Purification by crystallization can be adversely affected by using impure solvents, potentially leaving the MSM tainted toxic by-products.
Directions
Take 2 capsules once daily for one week. Increase to 2 capsules 3-4 times daily, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
Extremely safe at even high dosage levels, we recommend slowly increasing MSM dosage in accordance with the labeled directions.
